Three Players Who Are Likely To Leave Arsenal This Coming Summer

While the general feeling around the Arsenal fans is that there is a lack of depth in this team, that is not actually accurate if you really take a detailed look into the team. The main issue with depth is in the defensive side of things and lack of better options in the defensive midfield position.  In fact when it comes to midfield and striker, Arsenal’s depth is at par with every top team in the county. Such is the scenario, there is a good chance that some players might move on at the end of the season. Here at Soccersouls, we come up with the three players likely to leave Arsenal at the end of the season.

Lukas Podolski:

No real surprise that the German is the most likely to leave Arsenal at the end of the season. Almost confirmed a move away from the Emirates this summer, it was a last minute injury to Olivier Giroud that saw his move stopped due to the lack of cover in the striking department at the time. With the arrival of Danny Welbeck, he has been pushed even closer to the exit. He is very much an impact player as of this moment and despite the fact that he is loved by the Arsenal fans, his departure away from the club next summer feels inevitable.

Joel Campbell:

Joel Campbell had a brilliant 2014 World Cup and many people thought that might open the door for him at Arsenal. However that has not really changed the scenario for the young star as following his successful loan in Greece. Joel Campbell is still very much at the fringes and is very much down in the pecking order at Arsenal. There are even doubts as to whether he will make the bench when everyone, including Olivier Giroud and Yaya Sanogo, is fit and ready. There cannot be much doubt in anyone’s mind that the Costa Rican international will not be an Arsenal player this time next season.

Mathieu Flamini:

The Frenchman is at the last year of his contract and during his time at Arsenal he has not really set the world on fire. While initially last season, he looked like the answer to Arsenal’s soft underbelly, his shortcomings has been more than exposed in this time period. His lack of pace has been one of the main reasons why Arsenal has been so easily overrun several times last season. As someone who is definitely not the answer and also out of contract, there can be no question of an extension being offered to the Frenchman. The combative Mathieu Flamini will move on from Arsenal on a free, yet again.
