First Firmino, then Clyne and now Pedro, Manchester United seem to be having a poor time trying to get the signings that they want. Louis van Gaal might have signed Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin to fill in a few issues in midfield, but they still need a couple of other signings if they are to do well in the Premier League.
Memphis Depay does look like a great signing but the club are in search of another attacker after Angel di Maria left the club and also might need to sign a goalkeeper in case they do sell David de Gea to Real Madrid. The Red Devils had almost gotten Pedro but a couple of phone calls, one from Spanish teammate Cesc Fabregas took him to Chelsea. We look at three players who could be signed by Manchester United and that would make the team a little better this season.
Gonzalo Higuain
The 27-year-old has always looked for a move away from Napoli and it is only a matter of time before he does move away from the Italian Serie A. Higuain seems bent on a move away since the club have not qualified for the Champions League, he might not be the best in terms of goals to games ratio but he surely could become one of the best strikers once again if he plays alongside another top striker like Wayne Rooney. Would Van Gaal sign the much-maligned striker, only for Argentina fans? We will have to wait and see.
Bruno Martins Indi
One of the stars for the Dutch team in the World Cup, it is a bit of a surprise to see the youngster playing his football for Porto, not that Porto aren’t a great club but he could have been playing at a more competitive league had someone decided to move for him. The 23-year-old would be a great signing to shore up United’s defence and certainly is a perfect signing for the future, plus the fact that he has played under the manager earlier would aid him gel into Van Gaal’s methods better than other players who United could sign.
Antoine Griezmann
Reports are coming in that Manchester United are now in the race to sign another winger from La Liga, after Pedro snubbed United, they are now trying to sign one of Atletico’s best players in Antoine Griezmann. The French winger has always been one of the best players in the league, but he would certainly cost Manchester United a huge sum to bring him here. Fast and having an eye for goal, Griezmann could provide United a bit more guile and edge to their wing play.
