While last weekend’s matches were relatively easier to call and hence resulted in a fairly high average score of 48 all players, this weekend poses a much bigger challenge with only 5 games to choose from.
The easiest bet on the night would the game between Liverpool and Fulham where title-chasing Reds will be fully expected to travel to Craven Cottage and dispatch this Cottagers side.
Another surefire fixture on this week is the Saturday game between West Ham United and Huddersfield Town where the points are expected to be bagged easily by the Hammers and clean sheet points are an added possibility too, given the Terriers’ goalscoring record.
The other games of the weekend see Chelsea travel to Everton and Burnley making the trip the Midlands to face Leicester City. The weeks set of fixtures is rounded up by Bournemouth facing Newcastle on Saturday.
Here are the three players who should be your FPL Captain this week:
The Liverpool star hasn’t been in the best form this season and playing against the team that has conceded the most goals in the entire league this division is certain to fill him with confidence resulting in the massive possibility of a Salah masterclass.
He will be able to rip the Fulham defence to shreds and on the back of an impressive display against Bayern Munich as well, it’s really hard to see Liverpool dropping points in this fixture.
The degree of difficulty of each Premier League game is different and if there was one game that the bigger clubs would pick as the best opportunity is probably the one against Fulham and that’s why in-form Sadio Mane could be brilliant option.
With goals in the Premier League and Champions League last week, Mane is almost guaranteed to deliver points again this week as they travel to Craven Cottage to take on Scott Parker’s Fulham.
The Belgian proved yet again that the Chelsea side are dependent on his magical play at times and the 8-0 aggregate win they got in midweek is certain to be a boost to their confidence as well.
