UEFA.COM revealed it’s Champions League team of the week for the second round of fixtures yesterday and the team was led by Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck, who claimed his first professional hat-trick as the Gunners outclassed Turkish giants Galatasaray. With six shots on goal and three converted Welbeck lead the attacking trio that included Roma legend Totti and Porto’s Jackson Martinez.
On a second look at the team, Manchester United fans might have a few words to say. Two of their former players, whom they considered a surplus this summer has been featured in the Champions League team. While, one might argue that they have replaced both Shinji Kagawa and Danny Welbeck with better players, the fact that these two stars have potentials in them and was not utilized to full extend at Old Trafford remains to be seen especially with Arsenal forward Welbeck, who was constantly played out of position during his time at United.
