Liverpool signing this young Moroccan with 4 goals and 4 assists would strengthen a key position for Klopp

Liverpool opinions: Would Nouassir Mazraoui be a good addition for the Reds?

Nouassir Mazraoui is a Morrocan international right-back who currently plays in the Dutch Eredivisie for high-flying Ajax who are renowned for producing and developing some of the brightest talents the footballing world has ever seen.

Originally born in Leiderdorp, Netherlands, he made the decision to play for his country of origin Morocco rather than joining his adopted country, having represented the middle-eastern country even at the U20 level.

Currently a full international for Moroccan national team having made his debut in September 2018, the 21-year-old came through the youth academy at Alphense Boys before eventually making the switch to Amsterdam to join up with Ajax.

Having been under 10 years old when he made the move to Ajax, the youngster has shown amazing maturity over the years and he often expresses this on the pitch by displaying composure in the ball.

Originally a right-back, the youngster has been utilised as a holding midfield player at times by Ajax. His presence of mind allows him to read the transition of play and make smart blocks and interceptions in front of his defence line.

When he does play at right-back though, it’s a totally different picture as he just transforms into a calm and collected figure.

Seemingly unfazed by any attacking approaches down his side, the Moroccan shows excellent ability while on the ball and also shows a very good understanding of the manager’s defensive tactics, which he often implements to perfection.

Adept at stepping out to play the offside trap, the Moroccan has the pace and power to deliver some mean crosses into the box and he’s the kind of player who seems like he would be a great fit for Premier League football.

Liverpool must look to bring the young Moroccan to the Anfield as they can’t seem to cope with the absence of Trent Alexander-Arnold. With James Milner now well past his prime and Clyne out on loan and out of the picture, this would me a very smart move by Klopp.
