Premier League outfit Liverpool are in the middle of their worst run, but their impressive start to the season has given them a chance to stay close to a place in the top-4 of the points table. The manager will not be happy with the way his team has failed to handle the pressure of playing twice a week and this might see him jump into the transfer market for some quality additions in the summer. A number of star names have been linked with a move to the club recently and one such name which is doing the rounds today is Leicester City star, Demarai Gray.

Reports suggest that Klopp is impressed with the 20-year and his exploits with the Champions this season and is monitoring his situation over a move in the summer. He was a transfer target for the Reds back in 2014 when he was at Birmingham but Klopp is now determined to add him to his squad but will he be a decent addition for Liverpool?

At 20, Gray is an option for the long term and is not expected to walk into the first team at Anfield. Senegalese winger Sadio Mane is the only player who can provide natural width to the attack of this Liverpool squad and Klopp has been looking at wingers from around Europe to improve his squad. Bayer Leverkusen star Julian Brandt is one of many linked with a move to the club and Gray is only expected to be an understudy in his first year at Anfield. And for an understudy, the 20-year old is as good as they come.

Comfortable playing on either flank and also as a false-9 if needed, Gray is at his best when he has the ball at his feet in the final third. He has quick feet that allow him to find space easily while his dribbling abilities allow him to get past a player with ease and that makes him a dangerous player in the final third. His finishing is his biggest threat making him a productive option for Liverpool. While his pace will add another dimension to the Liverpool attack and though he is not the strongest in the air, it is not particularly a trait that is dominant in players at Anfield.

At his age, Gray is a super option and his return of 2 goals from just 5 appearances for the England U21 squad tells its own tale. The Birmingham-born star is easily one of the most exciting youngsters in world football and if he continues to impress, he may well attract interests from elsewhere. Claudio Ranieri is reportedly ready to listen to offers if clubs are ready to meet his valuation and with Liverpool in need of as many additions as possible in this position, Gray is a super option for the club.
