Well done Siewert – Huddersfield have captured one of the most exciting young talents in this 11-goal starlet

Huddersfield Town opinion: Is Reece Brown a good signing for the Terriers?

Huddersfield Town completed the signing of Forest Green’s highly-rated midfielder Reece Brown last week and Jan Siewert could well have pulled off one of the most exciting signings of the summer transfer window.

The Terriers have a lot to think about before the start of next season as to how they can overcome their terrible campaign in the Premier League last season. Huddersfield finished bottom of the league after one of the worst displays in the top-flight by any team in history.

Jan Siewert’s appointment in the final stages did have a positive impact on the side but results didn’t quite go their way apart from a massive draw against Manchester United at the end.

Huddersfield fans should really have high hopes for the upcoming season in the championship and signings in the summer will definitely be crucial.

Town confirmed the deal to bring in Reece Brown and this move could change the face of the club and the player next season. Brown was one of Forest Green’s most important players last season and his performance clearly didn’t go unnoticed as the Terriers snapped him real quick.

A highly versatile player, Brown finished the season with an outstanding return of 11 goals and 15 assists in all competitions. His movement across the pitch was a joy to watch and his versatility helped his team in almost all areas but the defence.

Brown played across the central midfield, as well as on both wings and even at centre-forward. His quick feet on the ball helps him get away from the opposition with considerable ease while his close control make it almost impossible to get the ball back from him.

Brown’s vision was at times too good for the League Two and the switch to a more competitive league will only help the 23-year-old develop further to fulfil the massive potential he has.

Siewert is the perfect manager, who will give him the freedom that he needs to succeed and Huddersfield have a real gem on their hands ahead of a very important season.
