Chelsea opinion: Why Chelsea should sign Cengiz Under in the summer?
According to CalcioMercato (h/t
The report also suggests that Chelsea are looking to make massive changes to the squad and the likes of Willian and Pedro will be sold. Under, with his ability to play on either wing will be a very good fit at Chelsea and the Blues should make a move in the summer.
Under joined Roma in the summer of 2017 from Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir and has since caught the attention of many. In his first season in the Serie A, the Turk started 15 games for Roma and scored 7 goals.
Under has been impressive again this season and has found the net on 3 occasions and has assisted 5 times so far. Under has featured on both wings, as a centre forward and as an attacking midfielder but his best position remains on the right.
Under is quick and direct in his play and loves to take on the defender with his brilliant dribbling and close control. The 21 year old is very good crosser of the ball too and delivers brilliant balls into the box from the right flank.
The youngster, like any other left footed right-winger, loves to cut inside from the right and unleash a strike at goal from outside the box. Under also has the eye for a pass as he is often seen passing it to a teammate in a better position instead of shooting on goal.
Under has averaged 1.9 shots at goal per game and 1.5 key passes every game so far this season. Under is dispossessed a mere 0.8 times per game this campaign and is often very reliable in possession.
Under however could initially struggle with the physicality of the Premier League due to his physique but over time with the right mentality and under the right manager, he can overcome that difficulty with ease.

If the deal were to go through, Chelsea will have a real gem in their hands and the addition of Under along with that of Christian Pulisic from Dortmund will increase the excitement levels at Stamford Bridge.
A move to the Premier League will take Under’s game to the next level and with age very much on his side, the sky is the limit for the young Turk.
