Norwich City opinion: Lucas Boye would add some much-needed depth
Lucas Boye is a 23-year-old Argentine winger who currently plays in the Greek Super League for high-flying AEK Athens on loan from Serie A outfit Torino and still remains one of the highest-rated and most sought-after talents in Europe.
The youngster is an excellent winger who will definitely add a new dimension to any front-line he features in, which begs the question as to whether or not he would be a good fit for teams with a more dynamic and aggressive playing style.
The youngster is a product of the famous River Plate academy which has blessed the footballing world with some of the best talents we’ve never seen and having been born in San Gregorio, the youngster was drafted into the youth setup at River Plate very early.
Since then, he’s made a couple of smart switches which have certainly helped him develop as a player and it all began with a simple loan deal between River Plate and Newell’s Old Boys – where he spent most of the 2015/16 season.
He really reignited his career when he made the free transfer from River Plate to join Serie A outfit Torino in the summer of 2016. Since joining Torino, he’s been on two loan spells, with the first one coming at La Liga side Celta De Vigo.
It was the third loan deal of his career that brought the young Argentine to the Greek Super League and a quick look at his numbers from this season should be enough to convince any manager to make this sale a reality in the summer transfer window.
Having scored three times in his 18 league appearances this term, the speedster has been in excellent form whenever his services have been called upon and the composure and calmness he shows while on the ball will also come as a massive boost to any side that may sign him.
Norwich City would be a perfect club for this young, budding player only because he has the right attributes to slot right into this talented yet shallow Canaries squad which could be playing Premier League football next season.
With Emiliano Buendia, Onel Hernandez and Todd Cantwell the only realistic winger options, the purchase of Boye would be an absolute blockbuster signing by Daniel Farke.

Conclusion
Capable of ripping teams to shreds with his exhilarating pace and attacking prowess, the Argentine winger can play on either flank and as a central-striker, and that’s exactly the kind of versatile player that this Norwich City side is currently lacking.
