This 31-year-old English ace must exit his current club and join any of these two Premier League teams to revive his career – Agreed?

Burnley FC Opinion – Two Premier League clubs who should target Joe Hart

According to a report in Sun, England goalkeeper Joe Hart could be given a lifeline to move away from Burnley by a club in the MLS. The former Manchester City began the season as a number one for the Clarets, but since the return of Tom Heaton, he has dropped down to being a third-choice.

Hence, not only the 31-year-old is not playing games, he is not even on the bench to help the team, if the first-choice keeper gets into trouble.

As per the report, Columbus Crew could be handing him an offer, as they seek to replace Manchester City-bound Zack Steffen. Hart could consider changing continents and enjoying some football down the States. (Sun)

Furthermore, Burnley would also let him go as they have Heaton and Nick Pope, the duo that is good enough to handle the proceedings at Turf Moor. (Sun)

Joe Hart

All that being said, there are few Premier League clubs who can do well by getting a keeper of Hart’s quality. Here are the two of them who should target 31-year-old in the summer window:

As of now, Everton have England’s number one Jordan Pickford in goal and Maarten Stekelenburg as a back-up. The latter has reached the twilight of his career, and wouldn’t be able to challenge the former for his place in goal.

Moreover, since the World Cup 2018, Pickford’s club form has been twitchy, to say the least. Hence, the Toffees can benefit from signing Hart in the summer and make him challenge for the number one spot in the team.

If Pickford’s wobbly form continues, then the former Manchester City man could even get the first-choice role at Goodison Park.

Watford have 35-year-old Ben Foster as their first-choice, with 38-year-old Heurelho Gomes as a back-up. Thus, it is clear that the Hornets would possibly be without the latter come the start of next season, and the former is also reaching the twilight of his career.

So, signing an experienced stopper, who has played in the Premier League before wouldn’t be a bad option. That being said, Joe Hart could be an ideal addition to Javi Gracia’s squad.

Ben Foster

The Englishman can challenge Foster for the first-choice role and can take over the reigns in due course of time.

Burnley have two very good keepers in their armoury, who are ahead in the pecking order than Hart. For that reason, it makes sense for the 31-year-old to leave Turf Moor and ply his trade somewhere else. The two Premier League clubs can offer him a good chance to play games regularly.
