Nahitan Nandez looks like a player made exclusively to represent Arsenal

Boca Juniors have a knack for creating world-class footballers in their famous academy. Some of the best players to ever grace the footballing world have all played for this legendary club at some point in their career.

Players like Diego Maradona, Gabriel Batistuta, Carlos Tevez and even Fernando Gago have all put on the blue and yellow kit with immense pride.

They are also responsible for creating some of the most sought-after talents in world football today. The likes of Nahuel Molina, Christian Pavon and Nahitan Nandez all play for this massive club. They have always been a club to set massive expectations and this rubs off on the academy players at a very young age.

Nahitan Nandez is basically a never-ending bundle of energy responsible for ensuring that his team is able to keep the ball moving. He can be called a midfield destroyer but that wouldn’t be doing justice to the immense playmaking ability he possesses.

Born in Punta del Este, this 23-year-old Uruguayan has been turning heads with his recent performances in the Argentine Primera Division. He has made 6 starts and a substitute appearance in the league. He was a part of the Uruguay squad that went to Russia for the FIFA World Cup last year.

In Russia, he made 5 appearances that included 4 starts. One of these games was Uruguay’s 3-0 defeat of host country Russia. He was crucial in that match for Uruguay.

If there is one club that needs a player like him in its squad right now it would be Unai Emery’s Arsenal. While Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira have been excellent for the Gunners, Granit Xhaka has displayed some extremely lacklustre performances.

Signed to be their first-choice central midfielder, Xhaka has shown himself in a bad light on various occasions since his arrival. While he has scored some important goals, his overall display since moving to the Emirates has been far from what was expected.

Nahitan Nandez alongside the bustling Lucas Torreira has the possibility of being an extremely hard working midfield duo. The defensive work rate of Nandez added to the attacking qualities that this Arsenal side possess could make them a team to fear.

While this has the potential to be a massive signing for Emery, it has to be said that Arsenal have bigger problems to address like the lack of quality defenders and wingers. Once the important issues are solved, Nandez could be the missing piece that could complete the Arsenal puzzle.
