These Three Transfers Will Help Tottenham And Pochettino To Challenge For The Title And Compete In The Champions League Next Season

Tottenham Hotspur, the side became the title contenders in just two years since the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino. Leicester stole the show for the Lilywhites and have won the Premier League, but Spurs surely have won many hearts across the globe and it was possible due to the dedication and determination of the players as well as the manager.

The manager’s faith and confidence in the players is one of the main reasons why the club succeeded in the league this season. They changed its playing style and became one of the most aggressive side in the league.

With many clubs announcing new managers, Tottenham will have to work more in the coming season to compete for the honour again. With Conte’s arrival, Chelsea will invite some big names in the squad. Liverpool and Manchester United are already looking to rebuild the team for the next season and Manchester City’s new manager Pep Guardiola will surely change the entire course of the Citizens.

As every season goes by, the team needs some fresh faces into the squad and so does Tottenham. The players have been exceptional this season, but you never know what will happen in the coming years.

So, here we are stating the 3 unrealistic transfers that could now be a reality for Spurs after their meteoric rise to the top.

Michy Batshuayi-

Michy Batshuayi is a Belgian professional who currently plays for the French club Olympique de Marseille. He was an unknown figure until last season, but his extraordinary performance in the current season has caught the eyes of many clubs in Europe.

Talking statistically, he has scored 17 goals this season in his 36 appearances for the club and possesses a shooting accuracy of 56%. Not a bad stat for a 22-year-old striker. Even though he is a striker, he has created 27 chances for the team and has recorded 9 assists to his name.

Harry Kane has dominated the league all by himself, and is not looking to lose his spot from someone, but to be very honest, Pochettino can use these two and can create more threat for the opposition. Eriksen can work as an attacking midfielder, and Batshuayi can be deployed as a false 9, where he can command the midfield and can rush towards the box to support Kane in the attacks.

Samuel Umtiti-

The 22-year-old Cameroon-born French defender currently plays for the French club Lyon as a center back. Umtiti’s performance has been overshadowed by the dominance of PSG in the Ligue 1. The player has been linked to Tottenham since long time and might be the right moment for the club to make a move for him.

The French defender has  an entire career to show for, and joining an English side would only make him a better and a mature player. He has recorded 29 appearances for the club this term and possesses a passing accuracy of 87%.  Also, he has won 65% of his average duels and has been a wall in the entire campaign.

We saw that Vertonghen was struggling for his fitness in the league this season, and this might happen anytime in the league in the near future. Tottenham already have a young center back pair, and the addition of Umtiti will surely lighten up the team defensively.

His heading abilities are fantastic, he has won 89 of his 129 headed duels and has been successful in his 15 out of 20 individual take ons this season. He might not get a first team experience in the premier league much often, but hey! Tottenham are competing in the champions league next season.

Wissam Ben Yedder-

Another French league player in the list. He has been a key figure in Toulouse this season and has been exceptional throughout the campaign. In his 34 appearances for the club, he has managed to score 16 goals and has recorded 5 assists to his name. He has an impressive shooting accuracy of 60% and an average passing accuracy of 73%.

The 25-year-old French player is currently valued at 8,00 Mill. € and can be a good buy for the club. As mentioned earlier, Harry Kane is not looking in shape to lose his position to anyone, but the manager has to keep the fact in mind that Kane cannot perform in their every game.

With Champions League to show for next season, the club will surely suffer in terms of fatigue and then, they’ll need some extra striking force to stay on top. Ben Yedder isn’t the strongest one, but he is the quickest one, he has the eye for goal and do not hesitate to shoot the ball from distance and that’s why, he can be a perfect man for Tottenham next season.
