Toure has racked up an astonishing 18 goals from midfield this year and has been an immense leader on the pitch for Manchester City. Toure is extremely strong and tactically aware central midfielder who can adapt to the role of an attacking midfielder as well as a holding one. He has been excellent in possession as he is a great passer having a completion rate of 90% with 64%of those passes being forward passes.
- CENTRAL MIDFIELD: Steven Gerrard ( Liverpool)
The Liverpool captain is our second central midfielder. He has been a key penalty taker for Liverpool as he has scored 10 out of 11 penalties this season. David Silva has been amazing for Manchester City this season. Despite having an injury hit start to the season, the Spaniard has racked up 7 goals, 9 assists in the league along with an excellent pass completion rate of 88%. He leads the pack in terms of key passes (70) and Chances Created (79) in terms of average per match. Silva’s ability to maneuver through the congested midfield and produce a pinpoint pass to a teammate has been commendable this season as Manchester City’s gameplay have been the most attractive to watch when in action.
