Terry Burton is set become the head of Arsenal’s youth development setup next season as Liam Brady decides to leave the job at end of this season.
Burton joined Arsenal as U21 coach at the start of the season. Burton has impressed the management by guiding Arsenal youth team into the Elite Round in the inaugural U21 Premier League season, and also under his supervision, Arsenal’s young NextGen side qualified for the quarter final where they play defending champs Inter Milan.
Following Brady’s decision to leave Arsenal after spending more than 7 years in that job, some rumors came up like former player, such as Dennis Bergkamp or Tony Adams will replace him to head the youth setup. However, it now appears the club will prefer an internal appointment (Burton), who himself came through the club’s youth system before going on to coach Wimbledon, and assuming various technical roles at Watford, Cardiff City, West Bromwich Albion and, most recently, Sheffield Wednesday.
