Swansea vs Arsenal: Preview, Team News and Possible Playing XI

Arsenal are on a roll this season as they look like serious contenders to win the Premier League. Arsene Wenger’s men are putting a great show each and every week and are at the second position in the table (behind Manchester City on goal difference). But the same cannot be said of the Gunners in the other tournaments. Fighting for survival in the UEFA Champions League, Arsenal defeated Bayern Munich at home and will travel to Munich for the return leg on Wednesday. A win there will raise the hopes of Arsenal qualifying to the second round. After getting knocked out in the League Cup by Sheffield Wednesday, Arsene Wenger will be keen to do well in the Premier League and keep the pressure on Manchester City as they travel to Wales to face Swansea expecting nothing less than three points.

Mesut Ozil has been at his best ever since joining Arsenal from Real Madrid and their hit-man Alexis Sanchez has hit form at the right time. Frenchman Olivier Giroud is on a goalscoring spree and will look to continue the form later tonight. Everyone in the team has contributed to the team’s success.

On the other hand, Swansea, after their stunning start to the season faded as they are currently in 12th position with 13 points from 12 games. Their striker Bafetimbi Gomis will be hoping to get his goalscoring form back against the Gunners. New signing Andre Ayew has been their star performer for the Swans this season with former Tottenham man Gylfi Sirgudsson coming a close second. Gary Monk will expect his side to put on a great show against he visitors.

It is certain that Costa Rica International Joel Campbell will get his firs start of he season in the Premier League. Unlike Arsenal, there are no injury concerns for Swansea.
