Liverpool are looking to add Chelsea Defender Andreas Christensen in the summer, however they may face strong competition from German side Borussia Monchengladbach for the player.
Christensen is currently on a loan deal from Chelsea with the latter and so far reports suggest that Monchengladbach is looking to sign the player on a permanent basis.
According to Mirror Liverpool joined the chase for the player unexpectedly as Jurgen Klopp is looking to bring in a youngster to the club in order to add more young talents to his squad. Liverpool may also come across a hurdle as Chelsea may call the player back from his loan spell due in order to replace Kurt Zouma who is out due to long term injury.
Christensen however has stated that he will not be returning to Chelsea if he is not guaranteed regular game time.
