Superstar Left Back Admits Interest In Summer Move To Liverpool

The arrival of Jurgen Klopp to Liverpool has not only changed the way they play football, but it has also changed the way the club, which has over the recent time preferred English proven players to move their transfer agenda to Klopp’s home land Germany.

With Alberto Moreno running hot and cold over and over again, Jonas Hector of Cologne has been linked with a move to the Merseyside along with his goalkeeper Timo Horn. While Both Clyne and Flanagan can both play as a left-back, a natural left-back would prove to a positive addition for the Reds.

On international duty with Germany, the 25 year old was keen to point out that he remains a Cologne player. However, when asked if he would be keen on a move should Klopp speak to him about it, Hector replied

“You always have to consider whether you are ready to take the next step,” he said.

“At the moment I am not thinking about it. I think what we have to do at FC Koln is enough.

“I also have a big tournament ahead of me with the national team.”

With the transfer fee believed to be in less than 8 million pounds, Liverpool would be keen to close the gap on a good deal before any complications occur.
