West Ham United Player Ratings vs Burnley: Here’s how the Hammers fared

West Ham United clinched a thrilling 4-2 victory against Burnley as the Hammers returned to winning ways. Marko Arnautovic opened the scoring for West Ham after some sloppy defending from the Clarets.

But Johann Gudmundsson equalised just before half-time. Felipe Anderson then scored the Hammers’ second before Chris Wood headed in to equalise again. West Ham then went on to score two more goals through Felipe Anderson and substitute Chicharito to ensure the win.

Lukasz Fabianski (6/10)

Had just one big save to make in the first half before the Clarets scored. He was unable to do much about Woods’ header.

Pablo Zabaleta (9/10)

Defended like a warrior on the night. Showed endless energy as he surged up and down the field.

Issa Diop (7/10)

He dominated the Burnley attackers and played out the right passes at the back. He was solid when the attackers ran at him as well.

Fabian Balbuena (7/10)

Made a couple of brilliant tackles and was superb in the first half.

Aaron Cresswell (6/10)

Got forward well although he wasn’t utilised much on the night. He didn’t do anything wrong either.

Declan Rice (7/10)

Showed great pace and work rate in the middle of the park.

Pedro Obiang (6/10)

His link-up play was good and his passing was precise on the night. Lasted an hour before he was replaced by Chicharito.

Robert Snodgrass (7/10)

Really good first half as he dictated the tempo well in the midfield. He played some superb incisive passes as well. However, he had a quiet second half.

Grady Diangana (8/10)

He saw plenty of the ball early on and was unfortunate not to win a penalty. He was a constant thorn in the side of Burnley throughout the game.

Felipe Anderson (9/10)

A much better display from the Brazilian as he picked up 2 goals and an important assist.

Marko Arnautovic (8/10)

Kept threatening Joe Hart’s goal to ultimately find the net. He pressed well to nick the ball off James Tarkowski for the first goal.

Substitutes

Chicharito (7/10)

Came on and placed the icing on the cake with a fourth goal. He made a few intelligent runs behind the defence.

Michail Antonio (6/10)

Produced a really good assist for Chicharito’s goal.

Didn’t have much to do apart from seeing out the game.
