Mesut Ozil made his much anticipated debut in Arsenal colors against Sunderland today. He assisted Giroud for Arsenal’s first goal with a well weighted pass. Arsenal were in total control of the match till the half time having more than 70% possession.
In the second half, Sunderland came back well as they scored the equalizer with a well taken penalty. For a certain period of the time that followed, Sunderland looked dangerous in the attack and looked like scoring another goal soon. But Arsenal’s player of the season so far – Aaron Ramsey had other ideas. He scored two beautiful goals to secure three vital points that put Arsenal on the top of the league table (at least for now).
