Arsenal are looking to sign Manchester United’s out-of-contract midfielder Michael Carrick in the summer.
Arsenal are the current favorites to sign the player who has a lot of Premier League experiences, and further has been on the Premier League winning team on five occasions. Although the player is aged 34, Carrick remains highly effective with retaining possession and has maintained his passing accuracy of 86% in the Premier League this season.
As reported by the Daily Express, the bookmakers are offering odds of 2/1 for Carrick to stay at United, while it is 11/4 for him to return to West Ham United.
However, one cannot ignore the fact that Arsenal’s midfield is already packed with talented players competing for two spots and further Granit Xhaka’s move to the Gunners will add another player in the midfield.
With the summer transfers turning out to be pretty unpredictable Carrick is surely a surprise move for Arsenal.
