Suarez, Aguero And Rossi – The Best From The Rest?

Ever since the advent of the beautiful game, we have clenched our fists in joy, gone mad in delirious celebrations when our beloved team puts one past the opposition goalkeeper. These are moments of sheer magic which can make or break matches, but the joy and ecstasy of a football fanatic like me is always eternal. When it comes to the hard work, defenders and midfielders rarely get the praise they deserve as the strikers take them away in a matter of seconds.

Goals are what Football is all about, isn’t it? They might be mesmerizing pile drivers or 40 yard curlers; it’s the goals which decide the eventual outcome of the match. They might be scrappy finishes, goal mouth scrambles or predatory finishes like the fox in the box, it’s the very goals of which strikers dream to score in front of their vociferous fans. So we here at Soccersouls decided to present you a list of the top three hottest goalscorers in World Football currently.

Giuseppe Rossi (Fiorentina):

Giuseppe Rossi

The rejuvenation of the Italian in Fiorentina colours might perhaps be one of the most remarkable stories in itself in World Football. Never has any player suffered such an injury plagued career, yet had the determination to start from scratch and earn rich dividends. Fiorentina signed the Italian last January from Spanish side Villarreal, where he was equally prolific before rehab cut short his flowing style of play and predatory silky finishes. However Rossi has  now fully recovered from his horrific Anterior Cruciate Ligament(ACL) and has scored 12 goals in 15 games in the Serie A season so far, with an astounding shot accuracy of 62%. Fiorentina also have former Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez at their disposal, however with the German nursing his injury, Rossi is forced to play as the lone striker up front. He has led the line perfectly till now and I bet he will be more lethal playing just off Gomez, when the latter returns from the sidelines.
