Sturridge Cries After Arsenal Defeat (Picture)

Liverpool Star Daniel Sturridge was on the other side of the bridge last night as Arsenal took a sweet revenge on the Merseysiders in the FA Cup 5th round clash at the Emirates. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lukas Podolski scored in either half of the match before Steven Gerrard pulled one back to make it 2-1 with 25 minutes remaining in the game.

However, the Gunners held on to their lead thanks to resolute performances put in by their goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and the defensive duo Mertesacker and Koscielny. Daniel Sturridge had two clear cut chances in the opening minutes of the game, but couldn’t convert them as the Reds crashed out of the cup competition.

Arsenal will take on Everton in the quarter finals of the competition.
