Strongest West Ham Line-up To Face Leicester Amid Injury Concerns Over Antonio

West Ham Predicted Lineup To Face Leicester City

Slaven Bilic’s West Ham fell to a deflating defeat at the hands of the Cherries in the previous round of the domestic league in England as they slipped out of the top half of the table. They now stand at 11th place with just over 10 games to play. The Hammers have no real chance of qualifying for Europe and the manager will hope to finish in the top half of the table come the end of the season. However, they will face a tough task this week when they welcome Leicester City who are finally playing like defending champions. The Foxes have won every game they have played under their new boss Craig Shakespeare including the Round of 16 tie of Champions League against Sevilla and will be on a high coming into this game. But they will not find it easy to take all three points from the Olympic Stadium this weekend.

Team News:

The Hammers will be without the services of Angelo Ogbonna, Gokhan Tore and Diafra Sakho who are all injured. Robert Snodgrass admitted that he played through pain in the previous game and might not feature while the versatile Michail Antonio is also a slight doubt for this tie.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

GK – Darren Randolph

The first choice shot-stopper for West Ham this season, Randolph has put in some superb performances from his side and will hope to have a fruitful game.

RB – Chiekhou Kouyate

The versatile defender has done a decent job at right-back in the absence of first team players and Bilic should stick with him for this crunch tie.

CB – Jose Fonte

The former Southampton man is finally finding some form at the Olympic stadium but he’ll have to be careful against the likes of Jamie Vardy.

CB – Winston Reid

The first choice centre-back for Bilic, Reid is important at the back alongside side Fonte and should partner the Portuguese at the centre of the defence.

LB – Aaron Cresswell

One of the most consistent players for the Hammers and is an automatic starter. He will be up against the likes of Mahrez in this game.

CM – Mark Noble

The English midfielder has been below par in almost every game this season but he is an important part of the squad and should keep his place in the side.

CM – Pedro Obiang

The midfield powerhouse for West Ham, Obiang has been solid in the middle of the park for his side and Bilic will hope he keeps the game in his control.

RW – Sofiane Feghouli

The in-form attacker for West Ham, Feghouli should start on the right flank to take on the Christian Fuchs at the back.

CAM – Manuel Lanzini

The playmaker has also been in decent form for his side this season and Slaven Bilic has no reason to not start him in this game.

LW – Andre Ayew

The versatile attacker has not been able to start games regularly this season but with Antonio doubtful for this game, Ayew should start on the flank.

ST – Andy Carroll

The towering forward will be a handful for the likes of Wes Morgan and Robert Huth and he will hope to get himself on the scoresheet this weekend.

This is how they would line up:
