Strongest Possible Manchester United Line Up To Face Everton In The FA Cup Semi-finals – Rooney Starts

Manchester United marched on to the FA cup semi-final by defeating West Ham united in their last tie and the next stop will be the Grandest stage of all Wembley, where they will be facing Roberto Martinez’s side Everton.

Manchester United had a comfortable victory in their last premier league fixture where they defeated Crystal Palace by 2 goals to nil. On the other hand, Everton had to face a humiliating defeat against Liverpool as they lost the game by 4 goals to nil at Anfield.

Everton, are on a poor run of form as they have lost 3 of their last 6 games in the premier league and have drawn 3. United, on the other hand, have won 4 of their last 6 games and have lost 2. The last time these two sides met, Anthony Martial struck the winner for the Reds Devils and they will be looking forward to continue the same result at Wembley as well.

Here is the predicted lineup for Manchester United that could face Everton on Saturday-

Goalkeeper: David De Gea-

Any doubt about that? The goalkeeper has been exceptional this year and has saved the team single-handedly in most of the games. An obvious starter in the next game for van Gaal.

Defence: Valencia; Smalling; Blind; Fosu-Mensah-

After a great game against Palace, Darmian might get a rest and the young Dutch (Fosu-Mensah) might return to action for the Devils. Valencia showed great improvement in his play and in his crosses recently and is a tireless worker for the team. Chris Smalling and Daley Blind are the best choice center backs van Gaal has, so, they will be starting the game for sure.

Midfield: Schneiderlin; Fellaini; Rooney-

The 4-3-3 formation worked well for the Dutch manager in the last couple of games and had a good result as well. So, he might go for the same formation where Fellaini will return to face his previous club and, Rooney and Schneiderlin will be at the heart alongside Fellaini.

Strikers: Mata; Rashford; Martial-

Rashford was taken off in the game and that was for his own safety as the boy needs a rest. Mata in the right and Martial at left would be the ideal front three to lead the attack. Martial and Rashford, these two players can cause some serious problems for the Toffees defence as both of them has great pace and possesses a great finishing technique.
