Strongest Possible Liverpool XI to Face Rubin Kazan: Allen and Ibe to Start

It’s a fresh start for Liverpool in the Europa League after the appointment of Jurgen Klopp as their new manager as he replaced Northern Irishman Brendan Rodgers a fortnight ago. The German manager, who previously managed Borussia Dortmund had a goalless draw his first test as the manager against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. Tomorrow, the Reds host Russian side Rubin Kazan in the Europa League. Liverpool looked scratchy in the Europa League under Rodgers and will look for a turnaround under Klopp. How will the Reds lineup for the match? Here is their likely lineup.

Goalkeeper: Simon Mignolet

Belgian International Simon Mignolet will be the Reds’ goalkeeper for the clash against Rubin Kazan after putting up a great performance against Tottenham.

Defenders: Nathaniel Clyne, Martin Skrtel, Mamadou Sakho, Alberto Moreno

Liverpool’s defence will be the same that played Tottenham on Saturday. England’s Nathaniel Clyne will play as the right-back while Spanish defender Alberto Moreno will play on the left. French International Mamadou Sakho, along with Martin Skrtel will be the two central defenders. It is certain that Klopp won’t play German International Emre Can in the defence like his predecessor Brendan Rodgers.

Midfielders: James Milner, Emre Can, Roberto Firmino, Philipe Coutinho, Adam Lallana

Liverpool’s midfield is facing a crisis after injuries to club captain Jordan Henderson and Roberto Firmino. As mentioned above, Emre Can won’t be playing in the defence but he will be bossing the Liverpool’s midfield in the 4-3-3 formation alongside England’s James Milner and Welshman Joe Allen. Brazilian duo of Philipe Coutinho and Lucas Leiva might be rested for the Europa clash.

Forwards: Jordan Ibe, Divock Origi and Adam Lallana

Belgian forward Christian Benteke, Englishmen Daniel Sturridge and Danny Ings are all ruled out of the clash with injuries and there is a slight chance for Sturridge to make it to the bench if he proves his fitness. In their absence, Belgian Divock Origi will be the lone striker with Jordan Ibe and Adam Lallana providing support from either sides.
