Strongest Possible Liverpool Line Up To Face Villarreal – Toure And Lovren To Start At The Back

After the humiliating 3-1 defeat at Swansea last weekend, Klopp’s men will welcome Villarreal at Anfield in the second leg of the Europa League Semi-Final.

In their previous fixture, both the teams were tough on each other, but the last minute goal from Adrian Lopez clinched the victory from Liverpool in Estadio El Madrigal. Liverpool are facing some serious injury vows and will miss many players in the fixture due to injuries and suspension. The main area where Klopp will have to be very tactical is the center back position. Since Sakho is suspended, Klopp will have to choose amongst Skrtel and Toure. The second area will be the central midfield as Can and Henderson are out injured, Klopp will have a tough time to choose the players from the squad.

Villarreal, on the other hand, will be coming with enthusiasm as the side recently defeated Valencia by two goals to nil at Mestalla Stadium. Their star man Bakambu is in top form this year and with Liverpool’s defence losing the shape, he will not have a very tough day at the office. Victor Ruiz is also in a great form and he is the one who could stop Sturridge from scoring the goals.

Looking at their recent form in all competitions, it is hard to separate both the sides as Villarreal have lost just twice in their last 6 games and have a played a draw.

Here is the predicted Lineup for Liverpool That could face Villarreal this midweek-

Goalkeeper: Simon Mignolet-

The Belgian needs to work on his abilities, but he might start the game against the yellow submarines as Liverpool doesn’t have a better option than Mignolet. He was rested in the last premier league game and Ward was given the chance. The little Englishman did his job perfectly, but Klopp might use an experienced player in a game like this.

Defence: Clyne; Toure; Lovren; Moreno-

Clyne is a wonderful full back and is doing a great job under the new management and will surely start in the next fixture without any doubt. Moreno was rested in the last game and hence, he might get his chance to feature in the game. The Spanish full back provides a great deal in terms of attack, but he needs to contribute more in the defence. With Sakho out suspended, Toure will be the man who will be partnering with the Croatian wall Dejan Lovren, who has been a delight to watch since the arrival of Jürgen Klopp.

Midfield: Lallana; Milner; Lucas; Sturridge; Coutinho-

This area will be the toughest one to decide for the German tactician. He might deploy Lallana on the right flank and partner him up with Clyne. Milner is a tireless worker for the squad and is an important asset for the club as well. He cannot be dropped from the squad in the game like this. Lucas is a fantastic midfielder who can tackle the ball in style. As Can is out injured, the Brazilian might get his start ahead of Allen. Coutinho will be on his usual position and Klopp might introduce Sturridge as a false number 9 in the game as the team will be looking to respond quickly.

Striker: Benteke-

Benteke is having a tough time under Klopp, but he has the ability to win the games for the club. Scored the goal in the last game and is a delight to watch when with the ball. He is physically strong and is tactically intelligent. As the side will be looking to score the goals, he will be a rather different and versatile option for the team to lead the attack.
