Chelsea travel to Ukraine to play Dynamo Kiev in their Group G Champions League match later tonight. Manager Jose Mourinho will look to carry on the momentum after the 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday. There are a lot of talks going around Chelsea’s preferred playing XI. How will the Blues lineup? Here is the possible playing XI for Chelsea to face Kiev

Goalkeeper: Asmir Begovic

With Thibaut Courtois injured, it is certain that Asmir Begovic will start as he goalkeeper ahead of the latest signing Marco Amelia.

Out-of-form Serbian right-back Branislav Ivanovic suffered an injury when he was on International duty and was not a part of the Villa game over the weekend. He is also set to miss this Champions League tie and this forces Mourinho to move Cesar Azpilicueta over to the right side of Chelsea’s defence, while £14million summer signing Abdul Baba Rahman will come in on the left. Kurt Zouma will be rested with Gary Cahill being the central defender along with skipper John Terry.

Midfielders: Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Cesc Fabregas, Willian, Oscar, Eden Hazard

Nemanja Matic survived an injury scare when he was with the Serbian  National team, but somehow he managed to regain fitness. In spite of being fit, he was not included in the playing XI for he Villa game and the same could his fate tonight as Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be given a chance to start and he will be alongside Cesc Fabregas as the holding midfielder with Oscar playing as the number 10. With Pedro not travelling with the team, Eden Hazard will make a comeback into the lineup and will play on the left while Willian will play on the right. After Mourinho’s comments for dropping Hazard, there are also chances of young Kennedy starting ahead of Hazard.

Striker: Diego Costa

Spanish striker Diego Costa will be the lone striker and Radamel Falcao might have an impact later on in the game. Loic Remy did not travel with the team.
