With a lot of speculations around the future of the club and its manager Jose Mourinho, Chelsea host Ukranian club Dynamo Kiev in the UEFA Champions League. Jose Mourinho has never been under so much pressure in his managerial career. Two back to back defeats against Stoke City and Liverpool have pushed him to the verge of getting sacked.
The defending Premier League champions are 15th in the league table, knocked out of the League Cup and are third in their Champions League group. They desperately need a win against Kiev in order to keep their qualification hopes alive. How will Chelsea line-up for he crucial clash?
Asmir Begovic is likely to retain his place as the goalkeeper for the game against Kiev. Once again, Mourinho will be fielding Kurt Zouma in the right-back position, which means Baba Rahman will miss out. Spanish defender Cesar Azpilicueta will be the left-back while English duo of John Terry and Gary Cahill will be the two central defenders. Mourinho will be hoping that his defence does the job his team this time after a poor show against Liverpool in the weekend.
In the midfield, Jose Mourinho will also be looking to bring back his preferred midfield duo of Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic after dropping them last week for Ramires and John Obi Mikel. In the attacking midfield, it will be Eden Hazard and Willian on the wings with Brazilian midfielder Oscar as the number 10 behind the striker. There are also chances that Mourinho might drop out-of-form Hazard and bring in youngster Kennedy. Summer signing Pedro is not fully fit and will miss out of the game.
Spanish striker Diego Costa will start as the lone striker for Chelsea and it is very much certain that Mourinho will not take any risks by starting Loic Remy or Radamel Falcao as the striker.
