Strongest Possible Arsenal Line Up Fittting In This Beast Midfielder For The Up Coming Season

The hunt for that midfielder who can turn a side from title contenders to title winners is something that Arsenal fans would know about. Surely the likes of Francis Coquelin and Mohamed Elneny are great defensive midfielders but you need someone who can provide a killer pass as soon as he picks the ball in midfield.

Aaron Ramsey certainly is not the answer for that as he prefers to run with the ball while Santi Cazorla is aging and could be out of the club at the end of the season. Arsenal seems to have wrapped up a deal to bring 23-year-old Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach and this could be a killer deal.

Xhaka had been linked with a move to Liverpool as well as a host of other clubs but Arsene Wenger seems to be planning for next season already and the Swiss international would certainly bring some peppiness to the midfield for the London side.

The Swiss star is known for his range of passing and his control in midfield, he might not be the most disciplined player in the world but the tackling and running about can be done from the likes of Coquelin or Elneny.

Arsenal would be having way too many players to fit into a starting XI and we list out how the team would line-up with Xhaka in the side.

Swiss cheese on the English side

Xhaka should be a sure shot starter in the team, there cannot be any doubts about that, and the back five are more or less set with no major changes.

Petr Cech is the best goalkeeper in the Arsenal team and can’t be replaced by Ospina. Per Mertesacker just about shades ahead of Gabriel thanks to his experience and Laurent Koscielny is the other player in the heart of defence.

Nacho Monreal and Hector Bellerin would be the wing-backs as required. In attack, it should be Olivier Giroud leading the attack with Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil playing about and changing positions, though Alex Iwobi might break into the team soon.

In midfield, it has to be Granit Xhaka who does the passing about and pinging the ball around to counter attacks and the player who gets to partner him has to be someone who does do a lot of defending and destroying.

The choice is between Elneny and Coquelin and simply for the amount of games he has played for the club and his tenacity in midfield. This does mean that players such as Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey miss out but this is the best XI for the Arsenal team if they do sign Xhaka that is.
