Strongest Manchester United lineup to Face Norwich – Giggs Prefers Pacey Players

Manchester United fans are facing an unfamiliar situation where their manager has been sacked with a few games left for the season and a new manager taking charge of the team. The new manager is no unfamiliar face though with long time United player Ryan Giggs taking charge of the team. His first game will be against Norwich this Saturday and let us take a look at the probable line up for the match.

Goal Keeper & Defence

David De Gea

David De Gea- There can be absolutely no questions about his selection. He is not only one of the best goalkeepers of the Premier League right now, but of the whole world. De Gea is a local fan favourite and he is an irreplaceable member of the squad.

Phil Jones- Jones’ performance this season has not been the best, but still he is one of the most dependable defenders of the club. It is expected that he would be able to keep his place in the side and form the backbone of the defence.

Evans- Evans will partner Phil Jones in the central defence. He is expected to deal with the aerial threat of Norwich players

Chris Smalling- His performance has been well criticised from all quarters, but still he has managed to find a place in the team. He may not be in the squad next season with rumours floating of the defender being sold, but might still enjoy some gametime under the new manager. He will start from the right back position.

Buttner- With Evra still injured, Buttner would be the first choice left back for Giggs with not many other options available. It is one weak link for the club, but Giggs hopes that the youngster would be able to stand up tall in Evra’s absence.
