Strongest Chelsea XI To Play Against MK Dons: A Chance For Eden Hazard Finally?

Predicted Chelsea XI vs MK Dons

Chelsea look to continue their revival under Guus Hiddink as they travel to take on lower league MK Dons in the Fourth round of the FA Cup. The Blues did play another lower league opponent in Scunthorpe and laboured to a 2-0 win.

The Dons aren’t doing all that well in the Championship as they sit 20th in the league table and are just two points off the relegation places. Chelsea though will be buzzing after their 1-0 win over rivals Arsenal at the Emirates in their last game.

Their manager Guus Hiddink will also have fond memories of the competition as he led them to FA Cup glory in his last spell at the club. The Blues will be buoyed by the recent performances of the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa; the Spanish striker got a goal to sink the Arsenal ship last time.

We look ahead to what should be a straight forward tie for Chelsea and predict their starting lineup in the FA Cup clash.

Asmir Begovic

The other Chelsea goalkeeper should get a run out against MK Dons, Begovic is a good backup goalkeeper and he should perform well while giving Courtois a rest.

Baba Rahman

The left-back hasn’t played as many games as he would have liked and could make an appearance against the lower league side.

Gary Cahill

Gary Cahill’s demands for a move away seem to have been quashed and the England defender should start for the Blues.

Kurt Zouma

Zouma seems to be the preferred partner with John Terry and should keep his place in the starting XI.

Branislav Ivanovic

Branislav Ivanovic has transformed the second half of the season and should keep his place in the team to face MK Dons.

Nemanja Matic

With Ramires heading out of Chelsea, Matic should be a guaranteed starter in the heart of the midfield.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

This tie should be one where Guus Hiddink tries some of his younger players and who better than trying out Ruben in midfield, where he has impressed this season.

Willian

The only Chelsea player who has done an incredible job this season, Willian will be crucial to Chelsea’s chances of winning this tie and the Brazilian should start for them.

Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard played a few minutes in the second half against Arsenal and should start for the Blues to see if he is the same player as he was last season.

Cesc Fabregas

The Spanish midfielder has played much better when given a more advanced role and he should continue in the same position this time as well.

Diego Costa

With Diego Costa firing on all cylinders, Chelsea must start with the Spanish striker at the tip of their attack.
