Strongest Arsenal To Face Aston Villa: Sanchez Out, Walcott In

Predicted Arsenal XI vs Aston Villa

Arsenal held on for a tough 3-2 away victory over Brighton in the FA Cup, the star of the show was Rosicky who was absolutely magnificent for the Gunners. Attacking wise, Arsenal were marvelous while defensively a lot of questions are still to be answered. They now face stuttering Aston Villa at the Emirates, Arsenal will be trying to get into the top 4 and we here try to predict the starting line up for the Gunners.

Walcott

Ospina

While a lot of talk has been around on Szczesny and his future at Arsenal, even tough he was trusted to play in goal in the last game, Wenger is most likely to start with Ospina, who seems to less prone to mistakes than his Polish counterpart.

Calum Chambers

The right back did not look that great during the last game against Brighton but with Debuchy out injured, there really is no player apart from Chambers to play as the right back.

Per Mertesacker

The German was on the bench during the FA Cup game and should make a return to the starting line up to deal with Benteke.

Laurent Koscielny

The French defender was also on the receiving end of some rather unflattering comments at the end of the FA Cup game but again with no better defenders, he should partner Mertesacker in the middle of defence.

Kieran Gibbs

Although Arsenal still have Nacho Monreal, who played as the CB in the last game , Gibbs should keep his starting place as the left back for the Gunners.

Coquelin

If Coquelin can keep up his recent form, he may solve the defensive crisis that has been haunting Arsenal midfield for a long time now.

Aaron Ramsey

Welshman will play his usual box-to-box role contributing to both attack and defence.

Tomas Rosicky

The star of the show against Brighton, Rosicky was in absolutely fine form and he is the one player who cannot be dropped for this game. He is expected to start in wings.

Theo Walcott

With Sanchez not being risked and Welbeck not fit enough to start or be in the bench, Walcott could be given a start so that he can provide some attacking threat for the team. Walcott needs some time on the field and would be relishing to take on the Villa defence.

Santi Cazorla

After a slow start to the season, the Spanish playmaker got his magical tough again and has been impressive in recent games. He may start in his favorite no 10 position.

Olivier Giroud

Arsenal do not have fit enough strikers and with Sanogo and Campbell away on loan, Arsenal have no choice but to play with Giroud up front.
