Strongest Arsenal (Predicted) Lineup To Face Southampton – Rosicky Should Start Again

Predicted Arsenal Lineup vs Southampton

Arsenal have literally done the impossible as they won both their matches against QPR and West Ham United with a break of just 48 hours in between. It would infact be fair to say that Arsenal were the winners of the last gameweek with all of Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea dropping points. However now it is time for Arsenal to keep the good run going and they face the Saints next away. Arsenal would do well to win this next one as Southampton are never an easy opponent and especially this season where they have been simply fantastic. However here at Soccersouls this is our take on the Arsenal lineup which will probably face Southampton.

Goalkeeper: Wojciech Szczesny

Wojciech Szczesny was superb in the last game and there is no reason to believe that he will not start this one. Arsene Wenger will be hoping more of the same from his Polish No. 1 goalkeeper.

Defence: Kieran Gibbs, Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker, Mathieu Debuchy

The centre back pairing for Arsenal will remain the same after Laurent Koscielny finally came back to pair up with Per Mertesacker at the back. This means that the makeshift nature of the Arsenal defence is no longer there and the Arsenal fans can feel much more confident regarding their rear guard action. Kieran Gibbs was rested for the last match and we can all assume that he will be back in place of Nacho Monreal while Mathieu Debuchy will continue as usual at right back.

Midfield: Mathieu Flamini, Tomas Rosicky, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain

Mathieu Flamini has been continuously playing in the place of Mikel Arteta and that is set to continue away to the Saints where the Frenchman will be the deepest lying midfielder for Arsenal. Francis Coquelin did exceptionally well in the last match but we fully expect Tomas Rosicky to be back in action as playing 2 matches in 48 hours was just too much for the veteran midfielder. The Ox will complete the midfielder three for the North London side.

Forward: Santi Cazorla, Danny Welbeck, Alexis Sanchez

With the Frenchman Olivier Giroud still suspended, Danny Welbeck will continue in the middle as Arsene Wenger will hope that the goal against West Ham United will give him more confidence. Santi Cazorla is in terrific form and will start from the left while Arsenal’s best player of this season Alexis Sanchez will start from the right side of attack.
