The FA Cup final is here, the big day for two of the biggest clubs in England will take place over the weekend as Arsenal play Aston Villa at Wembley. The surprise package of the competition, Aston Villa fought off not only some tough competition but also survived their battle against relegation under new manager Tim Sherwood, they will be hoping that Christian Benteke can fire them to one more win.
Arsenal will be looking to defend the title they won last season and they start the game as favourites, they will hope that their attacking threat is too much for the Villa defence and we predict the starting line-up for the Gunners in this all important tie.
David Ospina
Ospina has done pretty well for the Gunners ever since he became the number one goalkeeper and will be facing Villa.
Nacho Monreal
Monreal might have been tried out as a central defender but his best role is suited to the right back position.
Per Mertesacker
This could be one of the last games for the Arsenal centre back and wouldn’t he love it to end the season on a high? The FA Cup could have his name written on it.
Laurent Koscielny
One of the most consistent defenders in the league, Koscielny will be the main players for Arsenal as he would have quite a task of keeping Benteke silent in the final.
Hector Bellerin
One of the best young players in the league, Bellerin has been exceptional for Arsenal and should face Villa.
Santi Cazorla
The heart of the midfield, Cazorla might not have expected this role at the start of the season but he has grown playing in the central midfielder’s role and should continue when they face Aston Villa.
Francis Coquelin
The tough man in midfield, Coquelin might not have dreamt of starting the final this season but he has been brilliant for Arsenal ever since he got into the team and should play this game for the Gunners.
Alexis Sanchez
The star of the season for Arsenal, Sanchez might have slowed down a bit in the second half but he could be the man Arsenal look at to unlock the Villa defence.
Mesut Ozil
Ozil and Ramsey could end up swapping positions throughout the game, the German is due a good game for Arsenal and it could come in the Final.
Aaron Ramsey
It will be something to keep an eye on as to where Ramsey would play, he should start down the wings but he is better playing down the middle for Arsenal.
Olivier Giroud
The last few games haven’t been the best for Olivier Giroud but he should start this tie for Arsenal and hopefully collect a winner’s medal at the end of the game. Even though Theo Walcott got a hat trick in the last game, we can expect Wenger to go safe and start Giroud. If things do go wrong, one can expect Theo to be subbed in during the second half.
