Strongest Arsenal Lineup To Face Manchester City: Ramsey To Stay In Midfield

Predicted Arsenal Lineup vs Manchester City

Well, this is going to be the game of the season, even though the headlines all talk about the sacking of Jose Mourinho, Premier League fans have a brilliant game to look forward to with Arsenal hosting Manchester City.

The two teams who seemed most likely to win the league – well Leicester could well do that also – will go head to head and with a ton of stars on both sides, this should be a brilliant game for the neutrals.

Arsenal sit second in the table but have Mesut Ozil firing on all cylinders while Manchester City were lucky last time around to get that 2-1 win over Swansea. The Citizens would have to play much better if they are to get the better of Arsenal, who have been excellent thus far in the league this season.

Arsenal do have a lot of injury issues and their starting lineup could well see the continued presence of Joel Campbell. With the Costa Rican still doing well, here is the predicted lineup for the Gunners for their Monday night game.

Petr Cech

Probably, the best goalkeeper that Arsenal have had since David Seaman. Cech must be in the starting XI and could have a great role to play for the Gunners if they want the win.

Hector Bellerin

The fastest right-back in the league, no one can touch Bellerin and he would have to be at his best if he is to keep the likes of Navas and Sterling quiet on Monday.

Per Mertesacker

The German might not have the pace to keep track of the faster players but Aguero could be a doubt for the game and dealing with Bony is far easier than the brilliant Argentine.

Laurent Koscielny

Can any Arsenal team be without Koscielny at the back? The French defender has to be on top form though if Arsenal are to keep a clean sheet in this tough game.

Nacho Monreal

The left-back has been one of the unsung heroes for Arsenal as he has put in some good performances and will be looking to put in another performance which can help his team win the game.

Mathieu Flamini

With no real defensive midfielders fit, it has to be Flamini who plays in the middle of the park.

Aaron Ramsey

Aaron Ramsey

Ramsey’s shift to the central midfield role might have taken place due to injuries, but the Welshman was one of the best players as Arsenal ran out easy winners at Villa Park last weekend.

Theo Walcott

Walcott would be looking to provide able support to Arsenal’s attack, especially with the likes of Alexis Sanchez out, the onus to perform falls on the shoulders of the Englishman.

Mesut Ozil

The man of the team, Ozil has certainly picked up his game and gets better. He has 13 assists in the league this season and will hopefully get more in this game.

Joel Campbell

The Costa Rican has gotten a new lease on life at Arsenal and he has been amongst the assists and goals. Arsene Wenger will hope that Campbell can seize his opportunity and this game could be a tough one for the youngster.

Olivier Giroud

The French striker might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but he has been on fire in the past few games and got on the score sheet against Aston Villa as well. He should be looking to score a goal against City’s rather weak defence which could be without Kompany once again.
