Ayew, Fernandez To Start – Strongest 4-3-1-2 Swansea City Line-Up That Paul Clement Could Deploy Against West Brom

Predicted Swansea City Lineup To Face West Bromwich Albion

Swansea City will take on Tony Pulis’ West Bromwich Albion on Sunday in their final game of the Premier League season at the Liberty Stadium.

The Swans survived their relegation battle when they defeated Sunderland 2-0 last week and Hull City were handed a 4-0 defeat by Crystal Palace. They will want to celebrate that with a win over the Baggies at home on Sunday, who themselves haven’t been in great form coming into the game. Swansea haven’t tasted defeat in their last 4 league games and will want to finish the season with another win.

Team News

Wayne Routledge has returned to training after his hernia surgery but is unlikely to play a part on Sunday. Jefferson Montero, Nathan Dyer and Angel Rangel are the three confirmed absentees for the clash.

Probable Swansea City Starting XI

Formation: 4-3-1-2

Manager: Paul Clement

Lukasz Fabianski (GK)

The former Arsenal custodian has been a wall in the goal for Swansea, putting in one brilliant performance after another in the recent weeks. Sure starter.

Kyle Naughton (RB)

Scored a wonder goal last weekend against Sunderland and will be high on confidence. Will keep his place at right-back.

Federico Fernandez (CB)

The Argentine centre-half has been a proverbial rock at the back for the Swans in their recent run of good results. Should find Salomon Rondon an easy threat to deal with.

Alfie Mawson (CB)

May not be as solid as his partner, but gets the job done and is a potent threat in the opposition box too. Will take the second centre-back spot.

Martin Olsson (LB)

Provides the width down the left flank with his regular forward forays and always looks like he has a goal in him. Will complete the backline.

Leon Britton (DM)

Has been instrumental in the past month with some excellent performances in the defensive midfield. A shoo-in into the starting XI.

Ki Sung-Yeung (CM)

Has been preferred in place of Leroy Fer for the past few games and has repaid the faith with some strong performances. Should start again on Sunday.

Tom Carroll (CM)

The former Spurs man has become a key member of the team since his arrival in January. Will complete the midfield trio.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (CAM)

One of the most underrated playmakers in the league, Gylfi Sigurdsson is a class player and is a definite starter for Swansea.

Jordan Ayew (ST)

Has failed to make a serious impact since arriving. A goal at home should help him end the season on a positive note.

Fernando Llorente (ST)

The difference maker for Swansea with his goals, Llorente has been one of the biggest reasons why they have managed to stay up. Will be in for a hero’s welcome at the Liberty.
