Sterling Out, Jesus And Aguero In: Strongest 4-1-2-3 Manchester City Line-up To Face Huddersfield

Predicted Manchester City Line-up To Face Huddersfield Town In The Premier League

Manchester City are easily the favourites to lift the Premier League title this season as they remain unbeaten, with a 8 point advantage, at the top of the points table. They took three points from their trip to Leicester City last weekend and backed it up with a 1-0 victory over Feyenoord earlier in the week, and Guardiola will hope that his side can continue their winning run when they travel to the Kirklees this weekend.

The Citizens face a resilient Huddersfield Town side, currently at 10th place in the points table. They fell to an embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Bournemouth last weekend and will only face a tougher task this weekend.

Team News

Benjamin Mendy and John Stones remain the only injury issues for Guardiola, ahead of this game.

Formation: 4-1-2-3

Manager: Pep Guardiola

GK – Ederson

After a comfortable night in the European competition, Ederson will hope to have a similar time in the league as well.

RB – Kyle Walker

The former Spurs man is easily one of the first names on the team sheet for Guardiola and he will keep his place at right-back.

Nicolas Otamendi

CB – Vincent Kompany

Dropped from the team for the game against Feyenoord, Kompany, the skipper of the side, should be back in action this weekend.

CB – Nicolas Otamendi

He should be partnered with Otamendi, who has easily been Manchester City’s best defender this season.

LB – Fabian Delph

Though Danilo has done a decent job when used at left-back, Delph, who has found some momentum and form, is expected to keep his place at left-back for this league game.

CDM – Fernandinho

The likes of Gundogan and Toure were not too impressive against their Dutch opponents in the last game and Guardiola should turn to Fernandinho, to start as the deepest of the midfielders in this fixture.

David Silva

CM – David Silva

The Spaniard was rested for the game earlier this week but should be back in the midfield for his side this weekend.

CM – Kevin de Bruyne

Arguably the best midfielder in the league at the moment, De Bruyne was sensational in the previous league game and will hope to put in a similar shift this weekend as well.

RW – Leroy Sane

Another player who was rested for the UCL game, Sane has been in tremendous form this season and will be a goal threat to Huddersfield, from the right wing.

Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus

LW – Gabriel Jesus

The Brazilian is yet to lose a game with Manchester City and will hope to continue that streak when he faces a tricky test against the Terriers.

ST – Sergio Aguero

Though he failed to make an impact against Feyenoord, Aguero remains the biggest weapon for Manchester City and should lead the attack for his side in this game as well.
