After a comfortable victory last weekend against the Baggies, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool kept their winning run going, knocking the Spurs out of the League Cup this mid-week. They will now face a tricky test this weekend as they travel to the Selhurst Park to meet Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace on Saturday. It has traditionally been a tough game for the Reds who need to keep winning to keep their place at the top of the table. But every Liverpool fan will know that it is a game that the club has struggled to win in recent times. Palace are fresh from a 3-1 loss to Leicester City and will hope to turn the tables around this weekend so Klopp will go with the strongest possible lineup for this game. Here is the predicted lineup that the Liverpool manager might field for this game against Palace:

Team News:

Klopp’s men suffered no new injuries this week and are close to having everyone available. Mamadou Sakho is still not forgiven and will not be bought back yet while Joe Gomez needs some time to get back to match fitness. The duo will be the only players missing this trip to London.

Formation: 4-3-3

Loris Karius:

The Liverpool manager declared that Karius is currently the first choice keeper for the side and he should start this game against Palace.

Nathaniel Clyne:

Having got a few minutes under his belt in the League Cup, Clyne will be raring to go this weekend and will start at right back for the Reds.

Joel Matip:

After a well-earned rest in the midweek, Matip will be back in action this weekend as he will lead his side in defense for this game against Crystal Palace.

Dejan Lovren:

The former Southampton man has been impressive this season and he will have to keep up the good work if Liverpool are to take anything from this game.

James Milner:

The England international has been a superb fix to the left-back problem at the club and he should keep his place in the side for this trip to London.

Jordan Henderson:

The Liverpool skipper has been unplayable this season and will take up a pivot role in front of the defense for this game against Palace.

Adam Lallana:

The England international has been in sublime form early this season and he will hope to continue his form and give his side all three points this weekend.

Georginio Wijnaldum:

A decent outing in the League Cup will give Wijnaldum enough confidence to come back into the first team for the league after his injury on international duty.

Sadio Mane:

The Senegalese winger has assumed an important place in this Liverpool side and will be one of the biggest threats for Palace at the weekend.

Roberto Firmino:

The Brazilian has excelled in a false-9 role since the arrival of Klopp and will play in a similar position in this game against Palace.

Phillipe Coutinho:

The man of the match in the previous game for Liverpool, Coutinho was rested for the League Cup game and should be back in action this weekend in London.
