Star Returns For Chelsea – Strongest Possible Blues Line Up To Face Bournemouth

After two consecutive losses in the league, Chelsea will be looking to bounce back as they travel to the Vitality Stadium this Saturday. Chelsea vs Manchester City, surely it was a frustrating day at the office for both players and the manager. Not only they lost 3-0 at home, but their number 1 goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was sent off for a ruthless challenge on Fernandinho.

Bournemouth, on the other hand, also had a frustrating game against Liverpool as they were beaten by 2 goals at home. Bournemouth are currently sitting on 13th position and a win against the defending leaders would take them to their level (points tally).

Comparing the club’s last 6 game form; Bournemouth have won 3 of their last 6 games and have lost 3. Chelsea have won 2 of their last six games and have lost 2. Bournemouth are surely a surprise package this term and so are Chelsea (obviously in a different manner). The last time these two sides met, Bournemouth managed to clinch a victory under the Blues’ nose and grabbed the all-important 3 points. Hiddink will be without his goalkeeper and the skipper John Terry for sure.

It will be an interesting match as Bournemouth will be welcoming Chelsea for the last time this season.

Goalkeeper: Asmir Begović-

An obvious option in place of the suspended Thibaut Courtois. Begovic has done a lot for Chelsea in the initial stages of the premier league this season. As Courtois is suspended, he is the only choice Hiddink has got.

Defenders: Azpilicueta; Cahill; Ivanovic; Baba-

Both the full-backs failed to confront the pace of Aguero in their last game but are more likely to start the next as the team have no better options (instead of Miazga) for the defensive role. Matt Ritchie is a threat in the set pieces and in the flanks as well, so the full-backs might have to work hard to stop his runs. Ivanovic and Cahill will complete the back four, with Terry out injured.

Midfield: Pedro; Fabregas; Matic; Loftus-Cheek; Willian-

Pedro and Willian had a frustrating game against City and were unable to make an impact in the game, but these are the players who Chelsea can trust if they want to get goals. Both might be deployed on the wings and Loftus-Cheek, who had a decent last time around might get his chance again.  Matic was on the bench in the last game and Mikel’s dreadful performance against City might give Matic a chance to start the game. Fabregas failed to make any impact in the match but is Chelsea’s most trusted player and will likely start ahead of the midfield pivot.

Striker: Diego Costa-

Barely troubled City’s back four in the last game but is the only option for Chelsea in terms of attack. As Remy is out and Pato is not a Chelsea quality, he surely is a starter in the next game.
