Star Returns, Cook Out – Strongest 4-4-2 Bournemouth Line-Up To Face Leicester City

Bournemouth

Predicted Bournemouth Lineup To Face Leicester City

Bournemouth will embark on a trip to the King Power Stadium as they take on Leicester City on the final day of the Premier League.

The Cherries have had a strong second season in the English top flight and currently sit 10th in the table. They will be keen on finishing the season in the top half with a win against Craig Shakespeare’s Foxes. A loss would see Leicester overtaking Bournemouth in the table and Eddie Howe will be hoping to avoid such a scenario.

Team News

Midfielder Andrew Surman returned to training after a seven-week layoff but is unlikely to play a part. Dan Gosling is fit again and could make a comeback. Midfielder Lewis Cook will be unavailable as he has joined up with England U-20s while Benik Afobe also is close to a return. Callum Wilson, Adam Federici and Rhoys Wiggins are the other confirmed absentees.

Probable Bournemouth Starting XI

Formation: 4-4-2

Manager: Eddie Howe

Artur Boruc (GK)

The 37-year old Polish custodian will man the goal once again, for the final time this season for Bournemouth.

Adam Smith (RB)

The Englishman has been a consistent performer for the Cherries over the course of the season. Will want to sign off on a high.

Simon Francis (CB)

The captain will look to minimise the danger presented by Foxes’ main striker Jamie Vardy.

Steve Cook (CB)

Has been brilliant over the course of the season, but has gone under the radar. Another solid performance can be expected from the Englishman.

Charlie Daniels (LB)

The left-back has been another reliable performer in the backline for Eddie Howe. Will complete the backline.

Junior Stanislas (RM)

Has been impressive since his return from injury. Is likely to keep Ryan Fraser out for the third game running.

Dan Gosling (CM)

With Lewis Cook unavailable, a change is expected, with the fit-again Dan Gosling set for a return to action.

Harry Arter (CM)

The midfielder is the leader of the pack on the field for the Cherries. Irremovable from the starting line-up.

Marc Pugh (LM)

The left flank will be taken up by the impressive Marc Pugh. Can pose a few problems to Danny Simpson with his movement.

Joshua King (CF)

The club’s top-scorer with 16 goals in the league, King will be the main striker. Has been in excellent form and will look to finish the season with a goal or two.

Lys Mousset (ST)

Is yet to score his first goal for the club. A weakened Leicester defence may well present him with the best opportunity to do so.
