Stanislas And Gosling Remain Doubtful To Start: Strongest 4-4-2 Bournemouth Line-Up To Face Tottenham

Predicted Bournemouth Lineup To Face Tottenham Hotspur

Bournemouth will travel to the White Hart Lane this weekend as they go head to head against Tottenham Hotspur in Matchweek 33 of the Premier League.

The Cherries haven’t been in the best of forms of late and have been without a win in 3 games, with their previous fixture ending in a 3-1 defeat against champions-elect Chelsea. Manager Eddie Howe will be vary of avoiding a similar result against Chelsea’s closest rivals in the table, Tottenham.

Bournemouth are placed precariously at 15th position, 7 points above the relegation zone and a few bad results would see themselves fighting for survival. The last time the two teams met, back in October, the game ended in a goalless draw.

Team News

Midfielder Dan Gosling will undergo a late fitness test to determine if he can play a part on Saturday, while winger Junior Stanislas is also close to a return to full fitness. Midfielder Andrew Surman, goalkeeper Adam Federici and striker Callum Wilson have been ruled out for the season.

Probable Bournemouth Playing XI:

Formation: 4-4-2

Manager: Eddie Howe

Artur Boruc (GK)

The veteran shot-stopper has just missed 2 league games this entire season and has kept 7 clean sheets. He is the undisputed choice in goal for Bournemouth.

Adam Smith (RB)

The 25-year old has been a steady presence at the back for the Cherries this term and has played 30 out of 32 possible games. He will once again start at right-back against Spurs.

Simon Francis (CB)

The captain will start at the heart of the defence for Bournemouth. He will be hoping to bounce back after letting in 3 against Chelsea last week.

Steve Cook (CB)

Alongside Francis, it will be Englishman, Steve Cook. The 25-year old has been a solid performer for Bournemouth this season but has gone under the radar due to his team’s failings.

Charlie Daniels (LB)

The 30-year old left-back is another steady performer for the Cherries over the course of the season, having chipped in with three goals and three assists. Definite starter.

Ryan Fraser (RM)

The 23-year old has been a livewire on the right flank with his pace and directness. He could prove to be a thorn in the Spurs defence on Saturday.

Harry Arter (CM)

The experienced midfielder provides the legs and the energy in the middle of the park with his running from box-to-box. He will take the field from the get-go.

Jack Wilshere (CM)

And alongside Arter, it will be Arsenal loanee Jack Wilshere. The Englishman has been the Cherries’ most creative player – creating 34 chances. He will look to open up the Tottenham defence with his vision.

Marc Pugh (LM)

The 30-year old has become a constant figure in the starting XI in recent months after not having featured heavily at the start. Expect him to start once again.

Joshua King (CF)

The Norwegian attacker has been in top form in recent weeks and is the top scorer for the club with 13 strikes this term. Definite starter at the Lane.

Benik Afobe (ST)

Just ahead of King will be former Arsenal man, Benik Afobe. The 24-year old has just scored 5 goals so far this season; clearly not enough from the main striker of the club and he would want to rectify that in the coming weeks.
