Sorry Jose, Why Selling These Two Manchester United Superstars Would Be A Bad Idea To Start With

Jose Mourinho hasn’t even properly started his work at Manchester United and the rumors are circulating widely that he is set to sell two of their stars next season. One player who was guaranteed to more or less leave or at least be on the chopping board was Juan Mata but the other player linked with a move away is Daley Blind.

The Dutch midfielder, who was converted into a defender did struggle against some of the more physical strikers this season and it does seem a surprise that Mourinho would want to sell Blind more than Mata.

One to stay and one to go

In all honesty, Mata would have gone the second Mourinho was linked with the job, even though the Spaniard is one of the best players at the club and is technically gifted, he just does not seem to fit into the ex-Chelsea manager’s plans.

The Manchester United player would have probably thought of moving away and with clubs such as Juventus and even Barcelona being linked with his signature, Mata just might find the right club before the end of the transfer window.

The decision to sell him might not be the most popular one as the former Valencia attacker did scored seven goals and even provided eight assists in the season. The fans would not want to lose someone who is actually one of the players who can provide the creativity for a side that lacked it last season.

Daley Blind is the head scratcher to be honest, the Dutch midfielder would be an excellent player under Jose Mourinho. The 26-year-old can also play a range of positions across the park and if Mourinho does push him up higher up the field, he would do a great job for United.

Blind can also play as a full-back and that would be of great value for a side that does not have the quality it needs in many other positions. Mourinho might be a tough man to win over, but both Blind and Mata are two of the hardest working players in the Premier League and simply dishing them out of the club before the season even starts does not really make a lot of sense.

This was exactly what many Manchester United fans feared when the club did name Mourinho as the manager. There were going to be some tough decision at the club and this is just one of them. Blind and Mata were two players who put their all in for every club they have played for in their careers and selling the pair would be a grave mistake by Mourinho and Manchester United.
