Simply Not Good Enough: Two Players Chelsea Should Sell This January

conte

Antonio Conte has printed his style all over the place during this brief tenure at Stamford Bridge, and his side seems to be enjoying this revolutionary way that the Italian boss has brought his him from his extremely successful time at Juventus.

Chelsea’s currently battling for the title with Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool and since they’re not playing any continental tournaments, they can fully concentrate in bringing the Premier League back to Stamford Bridge and take the club back to its former glory.

Nevertheless, it hasn’t all been a day in the park for the blues, as some players aren’t having a good time playing under the Italian’s command, and they should be leaving the club sooner than later if they don’t want their careers to take another step backwards and actually get some playing time elsewhere.

So today, we’re going to take a look at a couple of players that should go away from Stamford Bridge right now if they don’t want to hang their cleats prematurely. And those guys are, as you could’ve imagine are; Branislav Ivanovic and Cesc Fabregas.

The Serbian defender just doesn’t seem to fit Conte’s playing scheme, as the Italian boss thrives with 3 centre backs and some speedsters ahead of them, and he seems very comfortable with his new signing Marcos Alonso, Victor Moses and Cesar Azpilicueta, and there hasn’t been a lot of room for Branislav to do his thing.

Besides, Ivanovic’s performances have taken a massive dip in the past few seasons after being one of the best defenders in the world, so he’s not making a good case to earn his minutes at the club right now either, so he should be looking for a move away from Chelsea right away, as his situation isn’t looking really good right now.

Fabregas, on the other hand, hasn’t been able to show his talent this year with Conte, as the Italian doesn’t seem to like the Spaniard style and is determined to keep him on the bench even when his team’s struggling to get anything going in offensive side of the park.

The Spanish midfielder is one of the most talented players we’ve seen in a while, and even if he’s far behind the level he showed during his Arsenal and Barcelona tenures, he still has a lot to offer to a team that’s willing to give him the opportunity to do his thing.

On top of that, Fabregas has a lot of offers on his table, as he rejected several options before the start of the current season, being the most important one lucrative sheet from AC Milan and there have been some strong rumours that state that his former boss, Pep Guardiola, is keen to bring him to reinforce his Manchester City.

It’s kind of sad to watch players with this kind of talent not being taken into consideration. However, this is just the way it goes in this cruel business, so the best thing to do for them right now is to say good bye and thanks to the Blues
