Simply Not Good Enough – Manchester United Should Sell This 27-Year-Old Midfield Enforcer

Morgan Schneiderlin

Manchester United is looking to improve their game right now, as they haven’t been able to perform at the level that everybody expected at the beginning of the season after that major investment made by the Glazers so the Red Devils could regain their former dominance over every other single side.

Jose Mourinho is currently running out of excuses and players to point his finger at, and the need for adjustments is getting bigger and bigger by the day while the margin for errors gets narrower after every matchday.

So there’s probably going to be a major overhaul in the team over the upcoming months, as Mourinho has been pretty harsh with some of his players and Manchester United is currently linked with almost every single player in Europe right now.

One of the players who’s very likely to be on his way out of Melwood is the Frenchman Morgan Schneiderlin, as the midfielder is finding it really difficult to get some playing time at Old Trafford right now, currently being behind Ander Herrera, Marouane Fellaini, Paul Pogba and Michael Carrick on Jose Mourinho’s midfielder rotation.

The Frenchman was supposed to be on the Portuguese boss’ plans, but after more than 15 games on Manchester United’s command, Mourinho hasn’t given almost any playing time at all to Morgan, and that situation doesn’t seem like is going to change anytime soon.

Even if the 27-year-old from Zellwiller has constantly stated that his keen to earn a spot it Mourinho’s starting XI, the better thing for him to do right now is to close this chapter of his career and look for minutes elsewhere, as he’s not going to get playing time with the Red Devils during the second half of the season either.

So Manchester United should just let Morgan walk, and they should even consider letting him go on a season-long loan during this upcoming transfer market in order to improve his form so that his international career won’t get stalled.

Morgan arrived at Melwood in 2015 and he looked like he was set to be a major force on the Red Devils’ midfield, but after the departure of Louis Van Gaal, his career at Old Trafford seems completely finished.

The French midfielder has only been on the field for 238 minutes this season, making 8 appearances off the bench during the non-important matches or playing when Manchester United is really comfortable on the scoreboard.

Manchester United’s center of the field is totally crowded right now and they better get their act together if they intend to become reliable contenders once again, and Jose Mourinho would certainly like to improve that sector of his team with an addition or two, which would make Schneiderlin’s situation even worse.

So, the best thing to do for both parties is to look for a new team for Morgan, as he’s still young and has a lot to give on the field if given the opportunity to show what he’s capable of, just like he showed during his time at Southampton.
