Sign him up Klopp: January raid to sign Arsenal Target from PSV could be ideal for Liverpool

Why Liverpool Must Beat Arsenal To Sign PSV Eindhoven Ace Hirving Lozano

Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly engaged in a tussle to land the services of PSV Eindhoven ace Hirving Lozano in January. The winger has been in spectacular form for his club this season, which has earned attention from quite a few clubs. However, the two Premier League giants are believed to be the frontrunners and it will be interesting to see which club manages to sign him ultimately. At 22 years of age, Lozano can bring a lot with him in terms of pace, agility and sheer goalscoring skill.

Having scored 11 goals along with 4 assists in 16 appearances for PSV so far, Lozano is being tipped for a big future and the player is likely to be open to making a move to the Premier League to see what opportunities await him. However, he will have a big decision to make since both clubs can provide him a unique set of advantages. That said, Jurgen Klopp will not want to miss out on a promising youngster like Lozano and he should definitely make a move for the player to beat Arsenal.

Hirving Lozano

One might argue that there is no need for Klopp to sign another attacking player in January, given how strong they have been in that department. But consider this: Philippe Coutinho moves out of the club and either Sadio Mane or Mohamed Salah succumb to an injury. What happens then?

Unlike Manchester City, Liverpool do not have a host of attacking options that can make up for each others’ absence and that situation will be all the more worrisome if Coutinho were to leave. The Brazilian has been a key enforcer in the Reds’ attack and his loss will truly create a void that will be tough for Klopp to fill. Moreover, Klopp seems to have a penchant for making his team play attacking football and a player like Lozano could prove to be a splendid long-term option – even more so if Coutinho were to leave.

A naturally speedy winger, Lozano boasts of immense potential and could prove to be a coup for Liverpool. He might find limited first-team opportunities while settling in but there is no limit as to what he can achieve once he cements a spot for himself. Also, given his attacking flair, Lozano is likely to go a long way under the watchful eyes of Klopp, thus providing scope for his development as a player as well. Hence, the Reds should most definitely try and trump Arsenal to sign Lozano since he can be the ideal option for the long-term while also being capable enough to inject some much-needed freshness to their attack.
