Shrewd Piece Of Business: These Players Would Be Great For Tottenham if Pochettino Decides To Buy Them In The Summer

Share

Mauricio Pochettino will not be a happy man as his Tottenham Hotspur side have now lost back to back games in the Premier League and the Europa League this week. Though they have a chance of getting back to winning ways in the Europa League, their loss at Anfield has pushed them down the points table, farther away from Chelsea, who are at the top. The manager is evidently unhappy with the squad at his disposal, as his summer signings have not been able to impress in their first season at the club. This has seen him get linked with moves for some star players in the summer window and with the business end of the season fast approaching, the manager would already be looking to get deals done for top transfer targets at the end of the season. Here are 3 such players who Pochettino should start negotiating with already:

Pochettino has a crucial summer window ahead of him.

Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace):

The English star was one of the most exciting players in the English domestic circuit not so long ago but he failed to have the kind of impact expected of him in his time at Old Trafford. His move to Crystal Palace has not been productive but he has grown on to become an important player in the squad, at Selhurst Park this season. However, he could be up for sale in the summer and Spurs have been constantly linked with him in recent times. His pace, trickery, and technique will be welcome additions for Spurs, while his experience in the Premier League will also come in handy.

Zaha would be a gamle worth taking.

Isco (Real Madrid):

The Spanish star is among many players who could be heading through the exit door at the Bernabeu this summer. Zinedine Zidane, the Real Madrid manager is desperate to add some quality to his squad and will let a few players leave in the summer and Isco is one player who is believed to be unsettled. Known for his silky feet and composure in front of goal, Isco is a perfect fit for the system at White Hart Lane and his experience at European level will help Spurs take the next step in Europe. Though he’d be new to Premier League, he has enough potential to turn into a top class player in the years to come.

Isco would be an unbelievable buy from Pochettino.

Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City):

The latest name linked with a move to the Lane is Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez. The player of the season last year, Mahrez was instrumental in Leicester City’s title-winning run but he has not been able to replicate the same this season. He has immense potential and with Leicester City in some deep trouble at the bottom half of the table, Mahrez might be tempted to quit Leicester if they fail to stay in the Premier League. He might even be available on the cheap if The Foxes get relegated and his potential will make him a wonderful choice for Pochettino to have. He must start negotiating already to stop other clubs from snapping away the winger in the summer.

Leicester have been struggling all season and Mahrez would be looking to jump out of the sinking ship.
