Wolves sealing £10m deal for this 28-year-old Liverpool starlet would be key for their future – agreed?

Wolves opinion: Should Nuno Santo make a move for Rafa Camacho?

According to a report from MSN, Wolverhampton Wanderers are among three other clubs interested in signing Liverpool teenager Rafa Camacho in the summer. The 18-year-old will enter the final year of his contract in June and the Reds are willing to let him go if they can’t agree on an extension.

Wolves will be rivalled by RB Leipzig, Benfica and Sporting Lisbon for the signature of Camacho and Liverpool are said to demand £10million plus add-ons for him in the summer.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have had a remarkable return to the Premier League and are incredibly close to finishing in the top seven which will get them through to the qualifying rounds of the Europa League next season.

If Wolves manage to beat the likes of Everton and Watford to achieve that incredible feat, they have to strengthen their squad in the summer in order to last the whole season. Rafa Camacho would be an ideal player for Nuno Santo to sign and the youngster will provide very good depth to their squad.

Naturally a right-back, Camacho’s brilliant ability in the attack has seen him get promoted to a wing-back role as well as a right-wing role so far. The teenager possesses incredible pace and trickery on the ball and his crossing ability from the wide areas make him a real asset to the team.

The former Sporting Lisbon prodigy has been in fine form for Liverpool’s reserves, where he has 5 goals and 5 assists to his name.

Camacho has been used on both wings and also as a centre-forward by Liverpool and the youngster thrived in the number 9 role against Arsenal’s reserves, picking up a goal and an assist in an emphatic 4-1 victory.

The youngster’s versatility will give Nuno Espirito Santo a wide range of options and Camacho could well be more productive than Adama Traore, who has been a huge failure having scored just once in 23 appearances.
