Why Chelsea Should Offload Willian Amidst Interest From Barcelona
Barcelona are one busy club at the moment in the transfer market as there is no more than a week left before deadline day and they are yet to find a replacement for Neymar Jr, who moved to PSG in a sensational deal earlier this summer.

This has kept Barcelona in a solid search for players who can add quality to the first team this season, and a number of new names are being thrown into the mix every day. One such player, whose name is now ringing around the Nou Camp is that of Chelsea winger Willian’s. (Source: Express)
The Brazilian international has been one of the most consistent players for the Blues since his move to the club in 2013. Capable of playing on the wing or also as a support striker like he has in the last two games for Chelsea, the 29-year old is easily one of the best wingers on show in Europe at the moment.
A good finisher with an immaculate eye for a pass, Willian is also a set-piece specialist and will be a superb option for Barcelona, at least in the short term. But the question is if should Chelsea sell?
Antonio Conte used Eden Hazard and Pedro as the first choice attackers alongside his striker last season and is only using Willian due to injuries to the first team duo. Willian has hardly ever let the team down and was the best for the club, even in the 2014-15 season, which saw the side finish 10th in the points table.
He can run the show single-handedly like he has done for club and country time and again but at 29, he is not a long term option. Chelsea will love to have him in their side as a backup to their first team stars but Willian, if not given assurance of regular first team action, he will be more than happy to quit Stamford Bridge and join Barcelona this summer.
Chelsea are still looking for attackers who can add goals and creativity to the side and if they do, they will find it impossible to keep Willian happy and at the club. He is a genuine match winner and can walk into most of the squads in Europe and unless he gets first team chances at Chelsea, it is better for the Blues to look for another backup and offload him to the needy in Spain.
Though it might be too late in the transfer window to find a replacement, this might be the best way to go for all the parties involved.
