Should Arsenal Really Buy This £10m Rated Forward ?

After the deal for Barcelona hit man Villa is said to have hit a road block, it is now reported that Arsenal manager Arsene wenger has turned his attention towards French International Loic Remy.

Arsenal are ‘favourites’ to beat Newcastle and Inter Milan says the independent and also re-ignite their interest in signing Wilfried Zaha. The report says sources in France have told that Arsenal hold a strong interest, which makes them firm favourites for Remy’s signature. Newcastle were thought to be leading the race to land the versatile French forward, but if the Gunners are really interested, the life-long Arsenal fan might have only one club in his mind.

But do Arsenal really need the man now ? Or is the media playing tricks with the Gunner fans to make profit ?

On paper Remy could any-day be better than Adrian Lopez (abother potential Arsenal target) as the forward can also play as a Right winger and has a good pace to go with it. Once touted to be the next Henry, Remy has considerably gone down the ladders from the initial impacts he made. After having an injured plagued season, the French International seems to be finding his feet again this term. The problem is that should Arsenal risk it ?

With the likes of Podolski, Giroud and Walcott upfront who give a decent attacking threat, Arsenal should only be looking to add to that armory instead of bringing in players who may or may not be a hit. And moreover Remy will never be a Villa to make an immediate impact settling down in England.

And in fact the whole story behind Remy could just be a blunt rumour as everyone knows the forward is an Arsenal fan and linking him with club is an easy thing to do.  If Remy is so very desperate to get out of Marseille then he more than likely would have already done so, instead the player was found at the club’s training ground.

What do you reckon of Loic Remy ? Will Wenger sign him ?
