Manchester United is being linked with a move to Paul Pogba in a world record transfer fee. All good news for fans. May not be so for the players. According to reports from various sources, the Red Devils are set to sell eight of the current players in order to make space for Pogba. The list below shows the ones who are the likeliest to go.
- Juan Mata: Mourinho sold him while he was at Chelsea. Naturally the Spaniard tops the list of players that are set to go once the season begins.
- Daley Blind: The Dutch international does not really suit the Mourinho style and the tabloids say that he will be at the receiving end of the squad culling.
- Morgan Schneiderlin: The player failed to make an impression with Louis Van Gaal. He may not make much with Mourinho either.
- Bastian Schweinsteiger: Injury prone and aged, the German superstar seems destined to have limited time left at Old Trafford
- Memphis Depay: While he is young, he has not really lived up to his promise at Old Trafford.
- Marcos Rojo: If Luke Shaw were fit, we do not see how this Argentine would have appeared in these many games. Well Shaw will be fit next season.
- Adnan Januzaj: The Belgian rose to stardom under David Moyes. While the crowd will want him to stay, Mourinho may think otherwise.
- Tyler Blackett: The youngster got a break when several defenders were injured. However Mourinho’s team usually does not have that many injuries. Thus this youngster is likely to leave.
